Did you recently upload your O’level / DE result on the Jamb portal but you didn’t see the Uploaded Result on the JAMB Portal?
Last week a student wrote to me complaining that he just uploaded his DE and O’level (Neco) results but after logging into the JAMB profile to see if his results were certainly uploaded, he couldn’t find the result on CAPS, Why?
After analysis, we concluded that two possible circumstances can cause this problem.

- You didn’t see both O’level results and A’level results e.g BSC, HND, NCE. ND, IJMB etc result on CAPS
- You saw the O’level results but couldn’t see the A’level result
The young man who contacted us falls under the second option.
Let’s explain further…

If you used A/R (awaiting result) during jamb de registration then you won’t see your O’level or DE result after registration completion.
In this condition, you will need to go to the JAMB office or any other accredited CBT centre, to upload the results. While going, go with the O’level result and the A’level result as both are meant to be uploaded together.
Make sure your result reflects on the Jamb portal before leaving the CBT centre.
Now let’s look at the second cause;
You saw the O’level results but couldn’t see the A’level result
This was the situation of the young man who contacted us he didn’t have a problem at all.
If you have successfully uploaded your O’level (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) and A’level (BSC, HND, ND, NCE) after logging into your JAMB profile and you see that your results were uploaded but only your O’level result no A’level then everything is all good!
This is because seeing your O’level, as a DE applicant implies your A’level is also successfully uploaded. You have nothing to worry about.
As of the time of writing this, Jamb has not made provision for showing A’level results on the Jamb portal, You can see your A’level on the DE registration slip or the DE change of institutions slip.
How do I know if my result has been uploaded on JAMB portal?
- Visit : https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility ↱
- Log in with your JAMB profile email and profile password.
- Once you are on your dashboard. Scroll to the end of the page to locate “Check Admission Status“
- On the next page, locate “Access My CAPS“. Click this to display “My O’level“
JAMB Allows Uploading of O’level Results Once, Yet Update is Possible, I a big YES, You can upload your result.
Yes, it is Compulsory, as it is one of the requirements to gain admission this year.
Check back after a few weeks. By then JAMB must have updated the CAPS. If the problem persists, please revisit the JAMB CBT Center and tell them to delete the previous result and re-upload it. It should reflect immediately.
