How to Purchase National Examinations Council (NECO) Token
The National Examinations Council (NECO) new results online system now requires candidates to purchase token before they can access their SSCE, BECE and NCEE results.
According to the National Examinations Council (NECO), the new Results online system offers a convenient way to check all NECO examination results. Once results are released, it will be made available via NECO Results system (www.result.neco.gov.ng).
Using NECO Results, candidates can check their SSCE, BECE and NCEE results by purchasing tokens. The token(s) can be shared with candidates, parents, schools, organizations or any person who wished to view the candidate’s results.
How to Purchase NECO Token Online.

STEP 1: Register on NECO Results Online System.
- Go to https://result.neco.gov.ng/register ↱
- Supply the required data in the appropriate columns and click on register.
- NECO will send an Activation Email to your registered email address.
- Open you email and click verify.
STEP 2: Purchase Token.
- Go to https://result.neco.gov.ng/login ↱.
- Enter your Email Address/Phone number and your password in the required columns.
- Then click on the Login button.
- Locate and click on Purchase Token (NB: Each token can be used with only one result for a specific number of views)
- Enter the number of token you need and click on Pay now button (NB: a token is N500 + N50 service charge).
- Now click on Proceed to pay button to pay for the token on REMITA platform using bank or card.
STEP 3: You Can Now Check Your Result.
- Go to https://result.neco.gov.ng/ ↱.
- Pick your exam year.
- Pick your exam type.
- Enter your Token Number and registration number in the appropriate columns.
- Finally, click on check result.
Note: One token can be used a maximum of 5 times. After this limit, you will need to purchase a new token to view results again.
How to Check Results with a Shared Token
To check your Exam Results follow the steps below;
- Visit www.neco.gov.ng
- Navigate to ‘Our Exams’ and click on ‘NECO Results’
- Scroll down and click on the ‘Visit NECO Results’ button.
- Select the Exam Year
- Select the Exam Type
- Enter the 12-digit token number
- Enter your Registration Number
- Click on ‘Check Result’ button and your result will be printed out.
Sharing Your Token
You can share your purchased token with a friend or a family member, so they can view your results.
The steps below will show you how to share your token
- Visit www.neco.gov.ng
- Navigate to ‘Our Exams’ and click on ‘NECO Results’
- Scroll down and click on the ‘Visit NECO Results’ button. You’ll be navigated to the NECO results app page.
- Login to your account and click on the ‘Purchase Token’ button. If youve already purchased a token go to the next Step
- Once you’ve purchased a token, click on view token button. Alternatively, from the dashboard click on the tokens button.
- Click on the ‘Unlinked Tab’ then click on ‘Share’ and choose your preferred method to share your token.
Can I use WAEC scratch card to check NECO result?

NECO no longer uses scratch cards to check results, you can only use a token to check the result. A token works like a scratch card, it is used to check results when they are released by NECO.
Does Neco token has serial number?
The new NECO Token comprises of a secured 12-digit unique PIN number that is required to check your NECO Results.
What is NECO registration number?
The national examination council, NECO has a unique 10 digit alphanumeric number it gives each of its candidates. The number serves as the student’s identity, it can also be used to check NECO results when it is released. The NECO exam number has eight numbers and two alphabets in capital letters.
