IJMB which stands for Interim Joint Matriculation Board is an A’level program moderated by Ahmadu Bello University.

You will gain admission directly into 200L while those that sat for JAMB will gain admission into 100L, it is one among the reasons why you should apply for Ijmb.

10 Reasons You Should Apply For Ijmb Today

Note: The manner in which it is numbered should not bother you.

10. With ijmb, You don’t need to write another Exam:

After all the stress you have gone through preparing for jamb and reading all night, if  you fail you will still wait for next year to write another one.

Or worse When you sit for UTME, your school of choice may require you to sit for another examination (Post UTME) before gaining admission.

Oh Come on! Too much stress!

This is not the case with IJMB or any other A’level. Once you pass your IJMB examination, you will not be required to sit for any other examination again.

9.  Ijmb is valid for longer period than UTME:

I  remember a jambite of mine that score very high in jamb but fail to gain admission. That was because he failed to meet certain standard that was required of him in the UTME.

So you see, even with you high jamb score you will be denied admission into high institution.

The worse part?

Jamb is valid for 1 year only, which means you will write again next year but This is not so with IJMB. The result doesn’t expire so easily like that, You can still reapply with your IJMB result for at least 7 years!

8. With Ijmb, Experience is sure!:

There is a saying;
“Experience is the best teacher”
And that is completely true! When you apply for Ijmb. You will gain experience of how campus life is like.
You will be ahead of JAMB candidates that wrote UTME examination from home.

7.  Very very very high chance of gaining admission:

More than 1million candidates register jamb yearly and only 20 to 30% end up gaining admission especially with  Institution such as unilag, uniben, UI, OAU and among other institutions are no go areas.

Well, It is as a result of high competitions.

However, it is not so with ijmb as you will be given admission Directly into 200L. no stress, easy and quick!

6.  You are not alone:

I remember when I wrote jamb sitting on that desk all alone looking at the monitor, no turning left or right and the clock tinking, with my heart beating so fast! It was an unforgettable moment!

But with ijmb, you are not alone! When you register for IJMB, you will be thoroughly lectured by qualified lecturers.

The lecturers you will find at IJMB centres have been properly screened and are found to be qualified for the job.
They will teach you everything you need to know and cover the whole IJMB syllabus for you within 9 months.
All you have to do is to read what you are taught and blast IJMB once and for all!

5. You can Kill two birds with one stone:

Yes you heard me right,  you can kill two birds with one stone and in this context, ijmb and jamb.

With ijmb, you can be going to school and still apply for jamb just in case one side fails another won’t!

4. Ijmb has a better grading system:

One beautiful thing i love about Ijmb is it’s grading simplicity.

Its grading is on point as it goes thus; A=5 points, B=4 points, C=3 points, D=2  points, E = 1 point while F= 0 point. And 1 additional 1 free point provided if you don’t have any F at all. The total grading is 15 points.

Now that is the  beauty about ijmb am talking.

3. O’LEVEL Alternative:

Ijmb offers an O’level subjects that is of WAEC standard in only two subject i.e English and mathematics, to facilitate examination.

Wow! This means if you have any deficiency in any of the subject mathematics or English in your O’level result, you can sit for Ijmb O’level examination instead of registering for another SSCE  exams again.

Note: there are intensive lectures taking  to cover this O’level subjects.

2. You will have higher PGD in your university as is going to be divided by 3 years not four years like others who used JAMB to gain admission.

1.  In Ijmb, you are going to undergo only  3 subject combination that will suit the course of your choice. Which I believe that is what you want.

I have given you enough reasons to apply for Ijmb today and stop wasting your time at home writing jamb yearly.

But wait what are about  the university that will accept you after successful completion of the above stated program.
