Is Biology Compulsory For Art Student in Waec?

A direct answer to this question is “NO” biology is not a compulsory subject for art students, biology is completely optional and as an art student, you can decide if or not to add it to your list as you can also replace it with Geoprahphy or Agricultural science.

What are the subjects for art students?

These are the compulsory list of Art subjects in WAEC and JAMB for Art students in Nigeria

  • English Language.
  • Literature in English.
  • History.
  • Fine and Applied Arts.

In most Nigerian universities, students are required to possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in their WAEC or Neco result or any other approved SSCE result. ↱ And, in most cases, Mathematics and English are compulsory subjects.

Therefore, it is extremely important to sit for not less than 5 exams in your WAEC or NECO. In fact, I advise you sit for all the exams, except you have genuine reasons for skipping any.
